Description

The scientific name is *Labeo rohita*. Rui Fish typically ranges from 30 to 60 cm in length and can weigh from a few hundred grams to several kilograms. It is rich in protein, low in saturated fats, and high in omega-3 fatty acids. In Bangladesh, Rui Fish is commonly found in freshwater rivers and ponds in regions like Dhaka, Tangail, and Mymensingh, and is known locally as **Rui Mach**.
