Description
The scientific name is *Macrobrachium rosenbergii*, also known as the giant river prawn or giant freshwater prawn. Golda Prawn is high in omega-3s, low in mercury, and contains low levels of saturated fat. It is rich in protein, vitamins A & D, and minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, and zinc. In Bangladesh, it is widely cultivated in regions such as Khulna, Jessore, and Sathkhira, and is known locally as **Golda Chingri**.
